The Diabetes Education Centre (DEC) is located at both sites of Middlesex Hospital Alliance - Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

It is staffed by diabetes educators, who are registered nurses and dietitians. They can answer your questions about monitoring, blood sugar levels, food choices, exercise, medications and lifestyle.

To book an appointment for yourself or a family member, just call the Diabetes Education Centre at either site.

What is Diabetes?

 

Diabetes classes are held at both Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.

Diabetes Clinics / Glucose Screening

A blood sugar screening tells you if you are at risk for developing diabetes. It is a simple test that only takes a few seconds. The Middlesex Hospital Alliance Diabetes Education Centre often holds blood sugar screening clinics at pharmacies, businesses and community events in the area.

The Diabetes Educators are pleased to provide a diabetes screening clinic at your workplace or community group meeting. Just call the Diabetes Education Centre to arrange a visit.
