About Four Counties Health Services

Four Counties Health Services is a primary care facility people providing emergency care, diagnostic services, and rehabilitation. Serving approximately 23,000 residents, it is located in the village of Newbury, at the intersection of Lambton, Kent, Middlesex and Elgin Counties. Only 40 minutes west of London and 40 minutes east of Chatham, Four Counties serves a rural population comprising villages, hamlets and farms. The area boasts a number of local industries and a wide variety of recreational activities, including two local golf courses and an enviable proximity to nature. The Thames River, popular with canoeists and kayakers, meanders from east to west through the middle of the catchment area. Ten minutes away is Big Bend Conservation area, a popular camping destination and 25 minutes away is the north shore of Lake Erie - an area that caters to anglers, birdwatchers and hikers, with are many trails through the unique Carolinian forests.

FCHS offers extensive outpatient care by hospital and medical staff and visiting specialists, 24-hour access to a physician on-call for emergencies, continuing care and minor surgical services, an active and successful Adult Day Centre and supports numerous community programs such as Meals on Wheels, and VON's Palliative Care Volunteer Program.
With 19 visiting specialists, Four Counties Health Services provides needs-based services close to home, following patients through the spectrum of health services and working with providers to bring the best possible care to the community.
