In April the Middlesex Hospital Alliance formally acknowledged the contributions volunteers make at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Four Counties Health Services. At the MHA, volunteers are an integral part of the daily routine of the hospitals. At the Strathroy site, 90 people volunteered over 11,000 hours last year and at Four Counties, approximately 60 people volunteered over 5,400 hours…

The Board of the Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Stepanuik as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance, a partnership of Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and Four Counties Health Services in Newbury. Mr. Stepanuik brings more than 20 years of progressive health care experience, serving his last 12 years as President and CEO of Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. He was accountable for overseeing the operational and financial management of the two site acute care facility, while guiding the strategic direction of the Hospital, which included a multi-million dollar hospital redevelopment project…

April 8, 2013 –

The MHA Board of Directors is proud to announce the completion of 250 Total Joint Replacements (TJR) for the 2012-13 fiscal year. Early in the fall of 2012, the MHA received its first annual Health Service Funding Reform letter, identifying the approval of funding for 203 Total Hip and Knee Joint replacement procedures for the fiscal year. In mid December, approval of an additional 47 total joint replacements through the South West Local Health Integration Network (SW LHIN) Priority Fund was received and the challenge accepted by the MHA to complete these additional joints by March 31, 2013…

The Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) marked another milestone for the organization’s surgical services with the addition of a new orthopaedic surgeon to the team. Dr. Chris Chant will open his practice on the third floor of the Strathroy site and will begin seeing patients April 1. This means that residents of the region served by both Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital will get expanded orthopaedic services…

The Middlesex Hospital Alliance Board of Directors recently approved an operational plan to strengthen its Surgical Program and add a third orthopaedic surgeon in order to sustain and expand the range of surgeries beyond what is currently available for patients to include upper extremity joint reconstruction such as wrist fractures and shoulder surgery…
