ADULT DAY CENTRE PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Regular Part Time

Qualifications:
• Diploma or certificate in a health care related field
• Minimum 5 years in an Adult Day Program or related geriatric setting
• Previous experience working with Community Support Service Agencies
• Previous experience working with seniors, and individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease or related dementias
• Strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrated commitment in ongoing learning and professional development
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
• Current certificate in CPR/First Aid

Duties:
• Responsible for the day to day operations of the Adult Day Program
• Responsible for tailoring programs to maintain client’s maximum level of functioning
• Supervision of ADP Assistants
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with the clients of the ADP to cultivate an atmosphere of friendship, enthusiasm and belonging
• Work harmoniously and effectively with others and promote the philosophy of the ADP in the community and health care field
• Responsible for overseeing transportation, meal supervision, activation and personal care
