Job Summary
Reporting to the Integrated Director, Clinical Informatics, Clinical and Corporate Solutions, the Manager, TVHP Regional Hospitals HIS Services provides leadership and support to the Thames Valley Hospital Partnership (TVHP) customers of the HIS agreement. The governance model for this agreement requires LHSC and St. Joseph’s Health Care London to ensure there is a balance between operational day to day system/end user support and effective planning for future system advances. System performance, service level metrics and optimization of services requires proactive communication and anticipation of customer needs. The governance model outlines the collaboration required to plan for future system advances. The Manager is accountable to support all aspects of the governance agreement, with a focus on customer satisfaction. The Manager either leads or supports all committees and teams related to the TVHP HIS governance, including ensuring that operating and strategic planning functions are effective and timely.
The Manager is responsible for building relationships within the TVHP group of hospitals and providing leadership to the LHSC/St. Joseph’s ITS team with respect to regional service provision. The Manager is further responsible for liaising with the Manager, ESC (Erie St. Clair) Regional Hospitals HIS Services to ensure governance models are adopted and standardized, and strategic planning between all regional hospitals and LHSC/St. Joseph’s are aligned.

Qualifications1
Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Healthcare or related field;
 Related post-graduate education preferred
 Minimum 5 years’ experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles with a strong focus on LEAN / Six Sigma/Project Management methodologies (academic acute care hospital preferred)
 Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage human and fiscal resources; knowledge of budgets and hospital operations preferred
 Ability to create business plans and models of service that match potential available resources
 Strong participatory leadership, team building and highly developed organizational skills with a track record of achieving results
 Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build partnerships and generate consensus
 Excellent and effective abilities in both oral and written communication skills, including strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
 Highly developed and innovative critical thinking skills with the ability to conceptualize, analyze and problem solve
 Demonstrated experience with organizational change and improvement initiatives
