REGULAR PART-TIME HEALTH RECORD TECHNICIAN
Health Records Department

• Position Available May 1, 2014

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized Health Information Management program and a certified member of the Canadian Health Information Management Association
• Able to recognize the importance of data control, accuracy, record confidentiality and patient privacy
• Computer skills including MED2020 WINRECS, ICD 10 Folio and CCI
• Experience in coding, chart tracking, chart assembly and QA
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with hospital and medical staff as well as the public
• Demonstrated organization skills to work in a busy environment
• Knowledge of CERNER an asset
• Legible handwriting
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance
• Understanding and use of good body mechanics
