Location: STRATHROY MIDDLESEX GENERAL HOSPITAL

Closing Date: June 25, 2014

Job Duties:
• Available for all 4.0, 7.5 and 11.25 hours shifts including weekends, statutory holidays
• Position available: July 22, 2014

Job Qualifications:
• Secondary School Diploma required
• Health Care Office Assistant Certificate or equivalent Office Assistant experience required
• Unit Clerk experience preferred
• Knowledge and use of Cerner system preferred
• Proficient Computer Skills in a “windows based environment including Excel, Work, Access and Internet/Intranet
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated understanding of ONA Collective Agreement for call-ins, staffing and scheduling
• Excellent clerical skills – phone etiquette, public relations, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to multitask in a rapid changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated excellence in Customer Service
• Experience maintain filing system, inventory management and completing payroll
• Book tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
• Perform other clerical duties, such as portering as necessary and/or as requested
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Commitment to Continuous Improvement and ability to foster change
• Self-directed
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance
• Understanding and use of good body mechanics
