TEMPORARY SUMMER STUDENT – Physiotherapy/Rehab Department – Position Available under the Canada Summer Jobs for Students Program

Job Duties
• Position available June 2017
• 12 weeks

Job Qualifications:

• Must meet the criteria/definition of Summer Student as set out by Service Canada in the Canada Summer Student program:
1. Is between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
2. Is Registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and intends to return to school on a full time basis during the next academic year
• Assists Physiotherapist with treating patients, as requested
• Assists patients with exercises/walking as outlined by Physiotherapist
• Porters patients to and from Rehabilitation
• Assists with cleaning and organizing the department and other duties as requested
• Training will be provided for treatment routines
• Understanding and use of good body mechanics
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment
• Candidate must provide own means of transportation and be prepared to travel between sites as required
• Preference will be given to students enrolled in a medical field
