SONOGRAPHER with added responsibilities within Breast Assessment Program – Diagnostic Imaging Department
Status to be negotiated with successful candidate (Part-time or Full Time 60 hours per pay period)
Job Duties
• Position Available Sept 2016
• 7.5 hours shifts weekdays and weekends
• Work scheduled shifts as a sonographer, while coordinating functions to optimize efficiency and deliver exceptional quality of care within the Breast Assessment Program

Job Qualifications
• Graduate from recognized and accredited Ultrasound program.
• Active credentialed member in good standing with Sonography Canada and/or active member in good standing with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Minimum 3 years breast imaging experience mandatory with certification preferred
• Oversee training of new staff and act as resource with subject matter expertise
• Demonstrating competency in all aspects of Ultrasound procedures with experience performing breast, abdominal/pelvic, obstetrical/gynecological, vascular, small parts, MSK, with IPS certification an asset.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and mentoring abilities with supervisory experience an asset
• Strong team player with ability to perform duties independently and professionally
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking/ problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated superior organizational skills to prioritize tasks in collaboration with others members of the health care team
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and self-directed learning

• Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvement opportunities
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and deal effectively with internal and external clients to provide exceptional customer service
• Understanding and demonstration of good body mechanics with ability to perform the physical requirements of the job
