Strathroy, ON- The MHA is closely tracking its usage and supply of the Sandoz-supplied drug, and managing supplies appropriately.

“We are monitoring supplies very closely and communicating regularly with our internal teams to keep them informed,” said Nancy Maltby, Chief Operating Officer.  “We have also implemented our hospital’s Incident Management System, which is standard protocol when an external organization’s operations may affect our hospital.”

The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care are actively communicating with Sandoz Canada, Health Canada and other group purchasing organizations to better understand the province-wide scenario.

“Our goal is to ensure patients have access go good patient care and we are doing everything we can to meet those needs,” Maltby concluded.
