Temporary Part-Time Materials Management Clerk – Materials Management Department
For a period of approximately 6 months
Job Duties:
• Position Available Immediately
• Part-time position with pre-scheduled shifts based on the departmental needs
• Responsible for administrative tasks such as: receiving supplies and equipment; checking bills of lading and packing slips for accuracy
• Maintaining adequate amounts of sterile and non-sterile inventory items on shelves at all times
• Rotating supplies as necessary
• Handling general departmental deliveries and shipping
• Handling of any incomplete requisitions issued by departments
• Managing incomplete HMMS shipments and reporting any vendor short shipments and/or back orders
• Communicating with departments regarding the above types of inventory issues
• Sorting mail (external and internal)
• Operation of postage meter and posting outgoing mail
• Operation of Multi Function Printer
• Responding to customer inquiries – phone, e-mail responses included
• Address all emergency requests as required by customer
• Maintain work areas in a clean, neat and orderly condition
• Ability to operate manual pallet jack
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
• Secondary School Diploma
• Knowledge of healthcare products and inventory management systems considered beneficial
• Computer skills in Windows environment using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word an asset
• Excellent Telephone skills
• Working knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures – minimum 1 year inventory management experience required
• Candidate to possess the physical ability to regularly lift up to 16kg
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
• High energy level with the ability to meet deadlines and balance priorities
• Excellence in attendance
• Candidate must provide own means of transportation
