MEDICAL OFFICE SECRETARY:
INTERNAL MEDICINE OFFICE
Full Time Monday to Friday

Job Duties:
• Answer telephones
• Book tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
• Prepare charts, requisitions, menus, reports, minutes of meetings
• Maintain Inventory of supplies
• Maintain filing system
• Perform other clerical duties, as necessary and/or as requested
Job Qualifications
• Medical Terminology Course required
• Health Care Office Assistant Certificate required
• Secondary School Diploma required
• Knowledge and use of Cerner system an asset
• Proficient Computer skills in a “windows” based environment including Excel, Word, Access, Internet/Intranet and Outlook
• Excellent clerical skills – phone etiquette, public relations and accuracy to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-directed and demonstrated organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Demonstrated good attendance
• Understanding and use of good body mechanics
