TEMPORARY FULL TIME REGISTERED NURSE working in Clinical Informatics and Patient Care Area for a period of approximately 8 months

Hours of Work
• Available for all shifts including call-ins
• Flexible work assignment between Nursing and Clinical Informatics based on current organizational priorities
• Position available February 01, 2015
Job Duties:
• Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and communicating Clinical Transformation projects including HUGO (Healthcare Undergoing Optimization) across the clinical areas of the MHA as required
• Liaison between the MHA’s clinical areas and the Information Technology Services department
• Attend required committees with London and Regional Hospitals
• Work with staff and physicians to optimize adoption and standardization of clinical systems through education and training, workflow/process analysis, quality outcomes and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.
• Clinical lead for future transformation initiatives
• Hours of work are between designated clinical area(s)and Clinical Informatics role for the MHA
• Provide leadership, communications and coordination for MHA Subject Matter Experts (SME’s)

Job Qualifications:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS
• BScN preferred
• Minimum 5 years of acute care nursing required
• Degree in Clinical/Health Informatics Preferred or other equivalent courses
• Experience with project leadership and application of IT in a clinical setting required
• Advanced understanding of technology and how it can be applied in the Hospital environment
• Experience with established business application systems ie clinical processes in several areas of the hospital environment required
• Knowledge and experience with clinical application of First Net required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to customer service

• Computer proficiency required
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as an active member of the health care team and also ability to practice independently
• Proficient organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively problem solve
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
• Maintaining relevant clinical expertise in assigned unit
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance
