CASUAL PART – TIME ECG/EKG Technician
Cardiac Testing: Ambulatory Care
Position available immediately

Job Duties:
• Available for all shifts (7.5h)
• Perform all technical functions including electrocardiograms, Holter monitor and looper event recorder hook-ups, stress testing, phlebotomy and associated clerical work
• Preceptor for Cardiovascular Technology students during clinical rotation

Job Qualifications
• Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
• Must provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
• Graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred
• Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and the Ontario Society of Cardiovascular Technologists preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Demonstrated computer skills with Cerner Radnet/ MUSE experience preferred
• Demonstrated competency and superior organizational skills to prioritize tasks in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team
• Demonstrated leadership skills and mentoring abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills
• Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently and professionally
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and self-directed learning
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance
• Understanding and demonstrated use of good body mechanics
