The Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) is seeking a Director – Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiac Services. This position will be responsible for DI oversight at multiple locations.

The MHA is made up of two partner sites; Four Counties Health Services (FCHS) and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH). FCHS is a primary acute care hospital located in the Village of Newbury. It provides 24-hour emergency and medical care as well as diagnostic and ambulatory services. SMGH serves a population of approximately 35,000 residents. It is a full service community hospital providing a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and ambulatory care services.

Job Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
• Current registration and good standing with the CMRTO
• Minimum of 5 years recent clinical experience in Diagnostic Services
• Minimum of 3 years leadership/management experience in a healthcare setting
• Master’s Degree in Health/Business preferred
• Experience with the following Diagnostic modalities an asset:
 X-ray
 CT
 Ultrasound
 Echocardiography
 ECG/Holter/Stress monitor
 Bone mineral densitometry
 Fluoroscopy
 Mammography, OBSP, Breast Assessment Programs
• Superior interpersonal skills with a focus on strong client service and team-building
• Committed to ongoing personal education
• Collaborative style with exceptional problem-solving, planning, leadership and organizational skills
• Demonstrated success in innovation
• Experience in leading and working with LEAN initiatives
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• Under the direction of the VP/CFO and working collaboratively with the Medical Director, the role manages the functions of Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology
• Facilitates the integration and coordination of services between sites for effective and efficient operations and optimal patient care
• Maintains fiscal responsibility, prepares operating and capital budgets
• Monitors, evaluates and reports on performance with key indicators and variance reporting
• Implements standardized processes and procedures to improve service quality and delivery and to drive best practice
• Manages human resources of the DI functions through performance management and ensuring appropriate staffing and scheduling of resources
• Ensures radiation safety and compliance of equipment to the standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies
• Supports regional partnerships and directions
• Promotes a culture of exceptional patient care, ethical conduct and accountability, consistent with the Vision, Mission and Values of the organizations
• Drive successful business practices to optimize revenue opportunities
