PART-TIME CLINICAL PHARMACIST – Pharmacy Department

If you are an energetic, collaborative Pharmacist who is a team player and interested in making an impact in a large community hospital then you should apply for this position. You will be reporting to the VP Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer and you will provide pharmaceutical care and recommendations to physicians, the health care team and patients through the continuum in the course of treatment. You will partner with the clinical teams at both sites to apply your knowledge of drug therapy to address drug-related problems and optimize patient outcomes. You will also be involved in hospital committees and projects to ensure quality improvement across the organization.
This unique position will work with MHA’s Lead Pharmacist to support two sites. This position requires demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates will have excellent time management skills, excellent attendance and a strong ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must possess at minimum a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists. Prior hospital experience is required, experience with “Cerner” electronic health record systems and residency training is an asset.
