FULL TIME GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER – Facilities Management Department

This position requires a versatile, multi-skilled, individual to work regularly scheduled rotating shifts, with alternating on-call duties


– High school diploma/equivalent
– 1 year previous experience in building and property maintenance
– Working knowledge and skills in use of tools in performing minor repairs in building maintenance
– Demonstrate ability to work, follow instructions and cooperate with others
– Ability to read written instructions, and comprehend verbal instructions given in English
– Able to take and understand instructions
– Must be able to physically perform required duties
– Must be within 30 minute commute from Four Counties Health Services Site

Main Functions of Job:

– To perform general routine maintenance on the building, equipment and grounds in accordance with the departmental maintenance procedures, standards and hospital policy.
– Perform minor repairs, cleans, inspects, and service hospital equipment and systems to ensure the safety, health, and morale of patients, visitors and employees and of patient’s recovery by helping provide a clean, attractive, safe environment with minimal interference to others
