Reporting to the Director Human Resources, the Regular Part-time Abilities Advisor administers the Attendance Support Program of the Middlesex Hospital Alliance, and monitor/manages employee illness and injuries.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Diploma in Human Resources, or area of practice with working knowledge of disability management
• Two years previous related experience
• Diploma or Certification in Disability Management
• Proficient in MS Office software (Full Suite)
• Proficiency in computer programs; for example/Parklane for injury management, return to work plan
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Advanced experience with early and safe return to work program; Functional versus Medical models for Occupational and non-Occupational
• Working knowledge of developing individual MWP plans, documentation, and maintain records for WSIB
• Experience in claims and case management of short and long term disability, including experience in adjudication of documentation and return to work cases
• Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
• Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated excellence in attendance, and good use of body mechanics
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team atmosphere
• Valid driver’s license as travel will be required
