Four Counties Health Services is a modern primary care hospital serving a primary catchment area of 23,000 residents. It is located in the village of Newbury, at the intersection of Lambton, Kent, Middlesex, and Elgin Counties (approximately halfway between London and Chatham). FCHS is located in a peaceful country setting with easy access to the 401 express highway, and, the US border into Michigan. The facility provides 24 hour emergency and medical care as well as numerous diagnostic and ambulatory services. Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital are partners in the Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA), a progressive, team oriented and technologically adept organization of excellence. The MHA was accredited with exemplary status in the fall of 2013. We are proud to provide quality, personalized care to the rural communities west and southwest of London Ontario.

FCHS current medical and emergency program provides exceptional care for all types of medical patients and the emergency department team provides care to over 10,000 patients annually. You will join a progressive health care facility that offers opportunity to participate in continuing education while caring for patients in our beautifully designed facility, which includes emergency helipad access. FCHS utilizes the latest technology in a “hands free” communications system, bedside Patient Point of Care Diagnostic Testing and HUGO. Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer of the MHA, the Site Director is responsible to provide leadership and work with corporate leaders to facilitate the smooth functioning of day to day site operations. They will liaise with the physicians, volunteers, the foundation and the community in support of the Hospital’s mission. The Site Director will participate in the overall planning and development of activities for the FCHS, manage nursing functions and related processes, and oversee the community outreach programs.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Baccalaureate degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Member of CCHL, an asset
• Minimum 5 years current, relevant experience managerial/leadership experience
• Expert organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrated ability to critically think, analyze, conceptualize and apply relevant knowledge to practice
• Demonstrated leadership skills in an interdisciplinary team environment
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Knowledge of budgets and financial reporting systems
• Demonstrated experience in employee and labour relations
• Demonstrated computer proficiency
• Proven management skills including financial, human resources, quality improvement, LEAN, change management
• Ability to prioritize in a changing environment
• Proven flexibility and a high level of initiative
• Demonstrated experience with building working relationships with community partners and involvement with integration projects
• Demonstrated analytical skills in collection and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
• A valid Ontario driver’s license
• Excellent attendance record
